📋 Description

• Develop and implement corporate governance policies and procedures • Advise internal stakeholders on complex corporate matters, business risks and opportunities, commercial terms and conditions, and employment laws and regulations • Conduct legal due diligence for acquisitions, investments, and partnerships • Draft, review, and negotiate corporate agreements, contracts, licenses, and leases • Draft and lead responses to EEOC complaints and investigations • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on legal alignment with business objectives and strategic initiatives • Manage external counsel and oversee legal projects • Maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, industry associations, and external legal advisors • Conduct legal research and provide recommendations to business stakeholders • Lead internal legal compliance and risk management training sessions • Monitor legal trends and developments and recommend proactive measures • Oversee litigation and dispute resolution processes • Manage intellectual property portfolios, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school required • Active member in good standing with a state bar in relevant jurisdiction required • 5+ years of progressive legal experience in a corporate or law firm environment • 5+ years of experience in employment law • Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex legal matters with minimal guidance • Experience leading legal projects or serving as a resource for less experienced colleagues • Strong track record of managing external counsel and cross-functional legal initiatives • Proficiency in legal research databases such as Westlaw and LexisNexis • Advanced knowledge of corporate governance and compliance frameworks • Experience negotiating and closing complex commercial transactions • Expertise in employment law • Ability to draft and lead responses to EEOC complaints and investigations • Familiarity with intellectual property laws and willingness to learn management of patent, trademark, and copyright portfolios • Strong leadership, communication, analytical thinking, project management, integrity, and ethical decision-making skills
