📋 Description

• Perform accounting functions within QuickBooks Online and other platforms • Determine the effect of accounting transactions under accrual or cash basis • Prepare initial drafts of monthly financial statements • Lead the month-end close process • Maintain supporting balance sheet schedules, including prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, fixed asset schedules, and payroll liability reconciliations • Prepare and record month-end journal entries • Complete full-cycle accounts receivable and accounts payable duties • Prepare and review payroll • Prepare and review sales tax • Serve as the primary communicator with clients • Review team members’ work and support the Controller in coaching and training less experienced team members • Set up new technology integrations and troubleshoot issues • Partner with vendors and platforms to complete accounting operations

🎯 Requirements

• At least 4 years of accounting experience • Experience working with more than 5 clients/entities across a variety of industries to deliver bookkeeping or accounting services • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; or bookkeeping certification • Proficiency working in QuickBooks Online • Proficiency with accrual accounting, consolidated financial statements, revenue recognition, and month-end close processes • Analytical thinking and creative problem-solving skills using independent judgment • Exceptional attention to detail • Ability to manage multiple tasks and finish projects within specified timeframes • Enjoys engaging with clients • Comfort leveraging tools and technology to collaborate with remote team members • Must reside in an established state: Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, or Minnesota
