📋 Description

• Perform accounting functions within QuickBooks Online and other platforms • Determine the effect of accounting transactions based on an Accrual or Cash Basis • Prepare the initial draft of monthly financial statements • Lead the month-end close process • Maintain supporting Balance Sheet schedules, including Prepaid Expenses, Accrued Expenses, Fixed Asset Schedule, and Payroll liability reconciliations • Prepare and record month-end journal entries • Complete full-cycle duties for A/R and A/P • Prepare and review payroll • Prepare and review Sales Tax • Serve as the primary communicator with clients • Review team members’ work; support the Controller in coaching and training less experienced team members • Set up new technology integrations and troubleshoot issues • Partner with vendors and platforms to complete accounting operations, including expense management software and payroll providers

🎯 Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience with Accounting • Experience with multiple clients / entities (>5), across a variety of industries to deliver bookkeeping or accounting services • 4+ years bookkeeping or accounting experience • An Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; or bookkeeping certification • Proficiency working in QuickBooks Online • Proficient with accrual accounting, consolidated financial statements, revenue recognition, and executing the month end close process • Analytical thinker skilled in creative problem solving and using independent judgment • Exceptional attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks, and finish projects within a specified timeframe • Enjoys engaging with clients • High level of comfort with leveraging tools and technology to collaborate with remote team members • Reside within a state where we are established (Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Minnesota)
