📋 Description

• Participate in Khan Academy’s 12-week remote Summer 2027 software engineering internship • Learn and use technologies such as Go, JavaScript, React, React Native, Redux, Flow, Google Cloud Run, and GraphQL • Write code and build products used by millions of learners and teachers • Work on projects such as Khanmigo speech-to-text, calculator UI, classroom teacher tools, and PhET content integration • Learn new technologies through onboarding and engineering mentorship • Collaborate through regular feedback and inclusive, cross-cultural teamwork

🎯 Requirements

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in computer science or a related field • Expected graduation date in 2028 or 2029 (rising Junior or Senior) • At least one previous software internship experience • Ability to start in May 2027 or June 2027 and have 10–12 weeks of availability • Ability to work/live within the United States or Canada for the duration of the internship • Ability to learn and use AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, and testing, including reviewing and validating AI-generated code with mentor guidance • Motivation by Khan Academy’s mission • Proven cross-cultural competency skills • Eagerness to learn, educate, write code, and build products used by millions • Strong communication, thoughtfulness, and desire to give and receive regular feedback • Empathy for learners around the world • No particular programming language or tool is required
