📋 Description

• Investigate novel techniques combining class-leading heuristics with optimization • Translate real-world supply chain management use cases into mathematical models • Lead the design and implementation of mathematical models • Define test strategies and develop comprehensive test plans • Write unit tests, integration tests, and debugging procedures to ensure robust, error-free software • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing • Collaborate closely with agile team members and other stakeholders • Shape Kinaxis’s future direction as it moves into new markets • Identify opportunities to accelerate the software development lifecycle through AI and other tooling • Uphold architecture consistency, secure design, and code-quality standards • Review AI-generated code for correctness, architectural fit, integration risk, and edge-case support

🎯 Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or related field • 7+ years of software development experience • Track record of delivering commercial software • Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages, such as C++, C#, or Python • Working knowledge of C++, including object-oriented design, design patterns, and unit testing • Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms • Experience creating mathematical models of real-world optimization problems • Experience with commercial solvers such as Gurobi, Xpress, or CPLEX • Ability to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing • Ability to accelerate the SDLC through innovative application of AI or other tooling while upholding architecture consistency, secure design, and code-quality standards • Ability to rigorously review AI-generated code for correctness, architectural fit, integration risk, and edge-case support • Willingness to work across language boundaries • Knowledge of machine learning models and algorithms is nice to have
