📋 Description

• Define complex statistical analyses and modeling of clinical and operational data • Develop opportunity analyses, clinical trending, operational KPIs, predictive modeling, program evaluations, customer reporting, product development, and ad-hoc analytics • Design and develop statistical analyses and reports to identify patterns and trends in operational and clinical data • Analyze large structured, semi-structured, and unstructured datasets to identify actionable insights • Apply research and evaluation standards, descriptive statistics, and data management principles • Present findings through verbal, written, and graphic communication and recommend performance improvements • Complete the analysis, development, and enhancement of analytical and operational BI solutions independently • Apply dimensional data modeling and data warehousing concepts to create balanced scorecards, dashboards, and KPIs • Monitor BI industry trends, technologies, and best practices • Design interactive and advanced Tableau visualizations for analytics storytelling • Navigate multiple business lines and derive holistic insights from large datasets • Interpret and develop complex SQL queries for ad-hoc and ETL use • Provide direction and guidance to less experienced team members

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced understanding of Epic data models and software analytical tools • Ability to work independently • Advanced critical and analytical thinking proficiency • Excellent verbal and written communication and follow-up skills • Advanced troubleshooting competencies • Excellent organizational and project management skills • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, technical, healthcare informatics, or mathematics field • Five years of required experience in data analytics, data science, data warehousing, data lakes and marts, metadata management, and dimensional modeling • Experience with Epic Clarity and Caboodle data models, reporting tools, and clinical data preferred • Experience supporting Epic Inpatient applications preferred • Tableau, Power BI, or relevant visualization certification preferred • Proficiency with SAS, R, Python, Java, Spark, Hadoop, Alteryx, and SQL • Proficiency with Tableau, QlikView, and other data visualization tools preferred • Epic Cogito Data Warehouse and Caboodle Data Model certification preferred; Epic certification must be maintained per Epic Corporation standards • May be required to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio infrastructure per Texas EO-GA-48
