• Manage Patient Access application(s)/module(s) of Epic with little or no supervision • Collaborate with counterparts from other applications to meet development and implementation objectives • Manage competing and changing priorities in a fast-paced, agile environment • Serve as project lead for key initiatives and perform assigned project management duties • Develop, document, and follow internal procedures for related applications and systems • Understand and document current clinical workflows and propose optimized future workflows • Present system enhancement opportunities and creative technical solutions for clinic scenarios • Identify, build, and demonstrate application configuration prototypes for review and approval • Perform ongoing Epic application maintenance and configuration updates • Create test scripts, timelines, and plans for application and workflow changes • Test clinical information system configurations and processes across applications • Coordinate requestor and user testing of application changes • Provide tier-two end-user support remotely and in person • Monitor, investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incoming tickets • Liaise with users and vendors and coordinate fixes and changes with software vendors • Coordinate application-change deployments with the training team and operations • Perform other assigned duties • Interact professionally with leadership, faculty, staff, and vendors
• Demonstrated experience with Epic Cadence configuration, build, and support • Demonstrated experience with Epic Referrals configuration, build, and support • Demonstrated experience with Epic Decision Tree configuration, build, and support • Bachelor's Degree or four additional years of build experience is required • Minimum of five (5) years of directly related Epic experience • In-depth knowledge of software development/build lifecycles • Ability to work independently and execute multiple assignments simultaneously in a complex environment • Advanced critical and analytical thinking proficiencies • Excellent verbal and written communication and follow-up skills • Advanced troubleshooting competencies • Organizational and project management skills • Epic certification must be maintained per Epic Corporation standards within 18 months of hire • Preferred certifications: Cadence, Prelude, and Referrals • May require ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure per Texas EO-GA-48
