• Lead a pod of researchers to deliver exceptional client outcomes while directly owning and executing high-impact, complex research engagements. • Ensure successful delivery across the pod’s portfolio of accounts and serve as the first point of escalation for client and project challenges. • Structure and optimize pod operations to drive high performance, accountability, and quality. • Lead, develop, and motivate team members while contributing to broader research processes and operating models. • Ensure the research pod achieves customer research objectives and meets Knit’s Quality & Speed service-level agreements. • Be ultimately accountable for research project success across the pod of Research Directors and Research Managers. • Manage people, including performance, clarity, accountability, hiring, onboarding, upskilling, conflict resolution, and morale building. • Drive and document in-depth project scoping and build clients’ Research Context Libraries. • Act as strategic problem solver, research subject matter expert, and solutions architect for high-potential prospects and customers. • Work with Sales on scoping calls, capabilities presentations, proposal input, and new business conversations. • Drive continuous product innovation by sharing customer-delivery feedback with the product team and identifying AI output and last-mile quality gaps. • Help drive research team adoption of Knit’s product as new workflows and tooling become available.
• Must have 10+ years of market research experience, including at least 3 years of team management experience, with the majority of the time spent on the supplier side in a market research agency environment. • Must have experience leading discovery and scoping calls. • Must have experience writing and editing quantitative and qualitative questionnaires from scratch. • Must have experience drafting analysis plans. • Must have experience creating and presenting stakeholder-ready insights topline and reports. • Ability to drive initiatives and outcomes in ambiguous environments. • Proven track record successfully operating in an early stage startup with fewer than 50 employees is a plus. • Proven track record of owning client relationships with customers at Enterprise, Fortune 500 US-based companies, specifically working with insights professionals to scope and achieve desired research outcomes, resulting in customer retention and growth. • Ability to drive initiatives and outcomes in environments with competing priorities, multiple simultaneous research projects, and internal business demands. • Effective people management skills, including driving clarity and accountability, hiring, onboarding, performance management, conflict resolution, and morale building.
