📋 Description

• Design and analyze electrical systems for solar and BESS installations • Create system layouts, stringing plans, voltage drop calculations, and specifications • Support construction with site visits and technical reviews • Develop and maintain system drawings, equipment specifications, and reports • Ensure compliance with NEC, NESC, and industry standards • Collaborate with project managers, customers, and regulators • Review vendor submittals and coordinate with procurement • Maintain accurate documentation within project databases • Provide feedback and improvements based on field conditions • Assist with permitting and interconnection requirements • Travel to job sites as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education and experience • 3–5 years of experience in solar, renewable energy, or power systems design • Working knowledge of the NEC and applicable renewable energy standards • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PVCase, and Microsoft Office • Strong communication and organizational skills • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check • Experience with DC and AC electrical systems, including low-voltage (LV) and medium-voltage (MV) preferred • Experience with electrical drawing sets and single-line diagrams (SLDs) preferred • Experience with material takeoffs preferred • Experience with equipment approval drawings and submittals preferred • Experience with constructability reviews preferred • Field or construction experience preferred • Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, and walk for extended periods • Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs • Occasional travel to project sites required
