• Support the design and implementation of stakeholder engagement aligned with company values and business objectives • Identify, map, and analyze communities, Indigenous peoples, local authorities, and civil society organizations • Participate in community consultations, information sessions, and multi-stakeholder forums • Build relationships with local communities, traditional authorities, and government agencies • Support Indigenous and First Nations engagement and consultation activities • Prepare, track, and administer agreements with Indigenous and First Nations groups • Integrate traditional knowledge and traditional land-use information into project planning • Maintain stakeholder registers, interaction logs, and engagement records • Conduct social due diligence reviews for new exploration projects • Assist with social baseline studies, social impact assessments, and risk assessments • Develop and review social risk registers and mitigation measures • Track compliance with social obligations across jurisdictions • Maintain risk, obligations, and commitments registers • Support social performance audits and assurance processes • Track and report compensation processes, community development programs, and outcomes • Prepare internal and external presentations • Provide social performance support to assigned exploration and development projects • Coordinate with Geology, Operations, Security, and Health & Safety departments • Support permitting processes with social inputs and community engagement requirements • Assist with community development and investment programs, including budgeting, monitoring, and evaluation • Support land access and compensation negotiation processes • Improve social performance procedures, tools, and templates • Lead social performance training for non-specialist staff • Stay informed about social performance trends, standards, and good practices in mining and extractive industries
• 5–8 years of progressive experience in social performance, community relations, or stakeholder engagement within mining, energy, agriculture, or infrastructure • Experience working with First Nations, Métis, Inuit, or other Indigenous communities • Experience conducting social due diligence, social impact assessments, or human rights due diligence • Strong data collection, social monitoring, and report-writing skills • Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing project priorities • Willingness and ability to travel to and work at remote field sites, approximately 6–10 weeks per year • High integrity, cultural awareness, and professional maturity • Ability to operate effectively in a diverse, cross-functional team • Curiosity and eagerness to learn about mineral exploration and development • Comfort with a dynamic, evolving early-stage company environment • Preferred: fluency in French • Preferred: working knowledge of IFC Performance Standards, ICMM Mining Principles and Performance Expectations, Equator Principles, Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights, and UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights • Preferred: experience with stakeholder relationship management or grievance-tracking databases and GIS or mapping tools • Preferred: experience with Resettlement Action Plans • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada
