📋 Description

• Drive reliability, observability and efficiency across product teams within the domain • Identify repeated toil and opportunities for automation • Participate in an on-call rotation to respond to production incidents • Conduct blameless retrospectives and root-cause analyses to drive continuous improvement • Proactively identify failures before outages using chaos engineering techniques, including edge cases, failure modes and design review • Follow the software lifecycle • Perform assigned additional tasks • Comply with essential functions including attendance, scheduling, training, teamwork, direction from leadership and project completion

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in MIS, Computer Science or related field • Programming skills in one or more languages (Java, Python, Go or Node.js) • Working experience on IBM Mainframe (TSO/ISPF, JCL, Batch job scheduling, transaction processing (CICS) and Security (RACF) • Basic knowledge of systems architecture, operating system internals and network fundamentals • Basic knowledge of application design patterns, event-driven architecture, database schemas and testing strategies • Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, or Azure) • Working experience with Elixir • Basic knowledge of continuous integration, continuous deployment and test-driven development • Basic understanding of containerization and container orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher) • Basic understanding of configuration management (e.g., Chef, Ansible, Puppet) • Familiarity with monitoring techniques and tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Tracing) • Basic math and reading skills, legible handwriting, and basic computer operation • Ability to maintain prompt and regular attendance and meet scheduling requirements • Ability to learn and comply with company policies, procedures, standards and guidelines • Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively and appropriately with others • Ability to maintain composure and work in a fast paced environment while accomplishing multiple tasks within established timeframes • Ability to satisfactorily complete company training programs • Ability to use a personal computer for communicating and preparing reports • Ability to plan, prioritize and monitor activities across business units • Ability to complete or oversee assigned projects in a timely manner
