📋 Description

• Own the technical relationship for accounts across the territory from first discovery through technical close to deployment • Partner with account executives on technical discovery, solution design, PoC scoping, RFP/RFI responses, and executive technical engagement • Conduct technical discovery covering GPU utilization targets, workload mix, fabric constraints, and decision economics • Be accountable for technical win rate and PoC conversion • Deliver PoCs physically with Liqid hardware at customer or partner venues and through Liqid’s remote lab • Own PoC installation, configuration, testing, success criteria, and decision process • Build and deliver Liqid Matrix demos for AI training, inference at scale, HPC, and virtualization/VDI • Contribute to reference architectures, sizing tools, TCO models, and PoC playbooks • Maintain working knowledge of demo and lab environments and provide field feedback • Qualify opportunities, shape technical deal strategy, and identify poor-fit opportunities • Understand accounts, competitive landscape, and pipeline across the territory • Engage audiences ranging from principal engineers and chief architects to CIOs and CFOs • Provide structured customer feedback to Product and Engineering • Work with support, marketing, and OEM partners to educate, optimize, and develop capabilities • Surface roadmap gaps and integration priorities, including SLURM, Kubernetes, virtualization/VDI, and northbound integrations • Connect field PoCs with engineering for early-access and design-partner work • Ensure technical handoff from pre-sales to deployment, customer success, and support • Stay engaged with strategic deployments to prevent technical churn and identify expansion opportunities

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in technical pre-sales, solutions architecture, or field engineering at a B2B infrastructure, systems, or AI infrastructure company • Track record of personally owning technical work on competitive deals, including discovery, architecture, PoC, and technical close • Experience working alongside or through tier-one OEMs such as Dell, HPE, Cisco, Supermicro, Lenovo, or equivalents is a strong plus • Current knowledge of AI/ML infrastructure, including GPU systems, memory hierarchy, and cluster-scale architecture for training and inference • Working command of server platforms, fabric and networking, including CXL, PCIe Gen5/6, NVLink, InfiniBand, RoCE/Ethernet, and storage • Hands-on familiarity with virtualization and VDI, including VMware and equivalents • Familiarity with orchestration and scheduling, including Kubernetes and SLURM • Understanding of infrastructure GPU utilization economics, cost-per-token, and TCO • Consultative approach and ability to identify underlying customer problems • Ability to partner effectively with sales and take responsibility for territory outcomes • Ability to stay current on the AI infrastructure landscape • Ability to clearly explain composable architecture to engineers, CIOs, and CFOs
