📋 Description

• Own the telephony roadmap and establish the product direction and delivery priorities with engineering. • Determine SIP compatibility requirements so enterprises can connect existing carriers, PBXs, and contact center platforms. • Expand LiveKit Phone Numbers beyond the US with broader country coverage and regulatory infrastructure. • Research enterprise customer workflows and production phone-based agents, using customer and operational data to set priorities. • Own telephony pricing, packaging, and margin as usage and geographic coverage grow. • Partner with engineering leaders across SIP trunking and native phone-number products.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in product management at a senior or staff level • Substantial experience managing developer-facing products • Ability to reason about protocols, media paths, latency, call quality, and failure modes • Experience owning a product where uptime and quality were core responsibilities • Ability to influence cross-functionally through clarity, trust, and judgment • Strong customer focus and ability to translate customer needs into a prioritized roadmap • Clear writing and strong presentation skills, from board-level strategy to detailed technical discussions • Comfort with ambiguity, ruthless prioritization, and rapid execution • Nice to have: experience building telephony, CPaaS, SIP, or voice communications products handling production call volume • Nice to have: familiarity with SIP, RTP/SRTP, DTMF, voice codecs, and call transfer • Nice to have: carrier experience with interconnects, number provisioning, porting, telecom regulation, and compliance • Nice to have: background in developer tools, infrastructure, or communications • Nice to have: familiarity with voice AI, real-time communication, or contact center platforms • Nice to have: experience with usage-based pricing and cost or margin optimization
