⢠Act as the primary support and day-to-day client contact for client service teams and operations ⢠Build and maintain direct working relationships with clients and carriers ⢠Prioritize and complete work according to client needs, customs requirements, release conditions, and Livingston standards ⢠Create and maintain client tariff databases, system maintenance files, vendor information, and keywords ⢠Verify documentation for release conditions, compliance, rating compliance, and free trade certificates ⢠Create, maintain, and follow client Standard Operating Procedures and Exceptions to Standard Procedures ⢠Ensure accurate and timely release and rating of shipments across all transportation modes ⢠Audit work completed by Release Pool or the NSC in Air/Sea locations ⢠Provide support, guidance, and mentoring to Release Operations members in non-Air/Sea locations ⢠Escalate issues, return entries to release team members, and recommend corrective actions ⢠Create customs entries using appropriate systems, vendors, and keywords ⢠Key shipment information for EDI release, rating, and billing ⢠Contact clients and carriers to obtain missing documentation, information, or instructions ⢠Work with Customs and PGAs as necessary ⢠Conduct periodic checks on tariff, valuation, and client/importer information ⢠Conduct documented internal audits ⢠Assist with compiling and reporting Client Service Team performance statistics ⢠Participate in daily team operations, prioritization, scheduling, meetings, problem-solving, decision-making, and special projects ⢠Coordinate and implement electronic data relationships to improve efficiency and one-step processing ⢠Keep abreast of new system developments ⢠Perform other related duties assigned by management and adhere to established policies and procedures
⢠Minimum 3 years of related experience ⢠High School/GED or equivalent required ⢠Associate degree or post-secondary education preferred ⢠Working toward or successful completion of the Certified Customs Specialists (CCS) designation with CSCB or NCBFAA is required if not already obtained ⢠Successful completion of the CCS examination is mandatory for further advancement ⢠Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills ⢠Client-service-oriented interpersonal skills ⢠Ability to handle large volumes and meet tight deadlines ⢠Strong knowledge of company policies and procedures ⢠Attention to detail, organization, completeness, and accuracy ⢠Good analytical and problem-solving skills ⢠Ability to make decisions and recommendations within authorized limitations ⢠Excellent time-management skills ⢠Ability to present a professional image ⢠Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel ⢠Ability to use a personal computer and common business machines/software
