📋 Description

• Support MEDCHART cloud production support, cloud migration, cloud environment modernization, and database support • Assist with cloud migration planning and implementation and cloud environment modernization • Maintain, patch, and upgrade Azure servers using the Web Portal and scripting • Generate and understand DISA STIG checklists and report security compliance • Support the MEDCHART DBA with monitoring and maintenance of SQL databases • Support database disaster recovery and backup monitoring • Research slow-running databases and queries • Authorize and troubleshoot connections with external partners and DoD and commercial systems • Assist with cloud architecture planning, configuration, migration, enhancement, and modernization • Coordinate regression testing and operational validation after migration or cloud optimization work • Develop and maintain migration and modernization plans, schedules, LOEs, and technical recommendations for Government review and approval • Develop and maintain database disaster recovery plans • Participate in weekly or directed program/project status meetings • Assess hosting and cloud capabilities to reduce attack surface, improve customer experience and performance, or reduce sustainment cost • Plan and facilitate data/code movement from existing hosting facilities to target environments and validate completeness after migration • Evaluate and optimize database systems for performance, scalability, and reliability

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in a technical field • BS in a technical field or equivalent relevant experience; MS preferred • Must have access NACI (ANACI / Tier 3) Active Secret Clearance • Hands-on experience with the Microsoft Azure Cloud ecosystem, including maintaining, patching, and upgrading servers through the Web Portal and scripting • Ability to generate and understand DISA STIG checklists using third-party tools to scan and report Security Compliance • Experience supporting MEDCHART databases, scripts, and SQL packages • Experience planning cloud migrations and modernization for accredited Government or DoD information systems • Experience with environment planning, data/code migration, cloud cost optimization, resilience, performance tuning, and DevSecOps pipelines • Ability to prepare detailed level-of-effort estimates, migration plans, modernization plans, schedules, architecture recommendations, and technical briefings • Experience with PowerShell and scripting • Experience with CI/CD, cloud platform administrative/architecture tools, architecture modeling/documentation tools, security and compliance documentation tools, and database/data migration and validation tooling • Experience with AI coding and scripting tools • Experience with database implementation procedures complying with internal and external security regulations and standards • Experience with IDEs such as Visual Studio or Eclipse • Experience with database development tools such as Oracle/SQL Server clients, source control tools, static code analysis, and testing tools • Preferred: Experience with Dynamic State Configuration (DSC) scripting • Preferred: Knowledge of firewall concepts and implementation
