📋 Description

• Lead and grow an autonomous, high-performing, self-managing, and inclusive engineering team • Own the shipping and logistics domain end-to-end, including carrier integrations, rate shopping, label generation, and supporting systems • Own the team’s technical direction, backlog priorities, and delivery processes • Champion AI adoption for project planning, issue triage, and software development • Inspect technical output and uphold test-driven development, SOLID principles, and sustainable delivery practices • Partner with Product and Design to shape the roadmap, estimate confidently, and communicate decisions • Foster accountability, visibility, and healthy communication across the team and with stakeholders • Champion Loop’s mission and values through leadership and decision-making • Lead a cross-functional product team’s technical direction, delivery, structure, and overall health • Balance features, technical debt, support, and innovation work in alignment with company vision and engineering standards • Own roadmap, backlog, technical direction, and hiring decisions while seeking team and stakeholder input

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience managing high-performing, product-focused software engineering teams, with a track record of delivering business value • Experience in SaaS, startup, or ecommerce environments is highly desirable • Recent hands-on experience as a software engineer • Technical depth to engage in architectural decisions, mentor developers, and drive test-driven development and scalable system design • Uses AI agents as a default part of team workflows and can describe how they changed team output • Strong grasp of Agile software principles, including SCRUM • History of shipping high-quality software through iterative, incremental delivery • Ability to balance competing priorities, manage stakeholder expectations, and make thoughtful tradeoffs • Clear communication, consistent values, and a feedback-rich culture of accountability and performance • Must be based in the United States
