The LOVB organization also operates a foundation to increase access to volleyball, sells tickets and merchandise, and produces media/insider content for fans.

📋 Description

• Own all areas of event execution as Facility Administrator and main point of contact for competitions at assigned facilities • Support recruitment and onboarding of contracted personnel, including Equipment Manager, VolleyStation Technician, and Security Manager • Develop and present venue-specific standard operating procedures and game day informational playbooks • Plan floor layouts, venue logistics, internet and power services, load-in/loadout timelines, run-of-show, room assignments, staffing, catering, arrivals/departures, fan engagement, sponsorship activations, and security • Provide facility information to sponsors, media, broadcast teams, and other external partners • Serve as a resource for teams, media, LOVB staff, volunteers, and partners before, during, and after competitions • Communicate event logistics to LOVB Central Staff and ensure requests and requirements are fulfilled • Coordinate team-area setups and match-day responsibilities with Pro Operations and event staff • Execute competition events and maximize positive experiences for athletes, staff, volunteers, partners, and fans • Assist with Emergency Action Plans • Source third-party staffing, security, rental, and other event partners • Coordinate equipment delivery, installation, return, storage, shipping, and receiving • Coordinate, train, and schedule volunteers and game day staff for on-court operations • Develop home event plans with Pro Operations, including production timelines, staffing plans, action items, and deadlines • Participate in post-event evaluation meetings • Maintain event-specific budgets and operate within approved budgetary constraints • Manage supplies, equipment, and assigned Pro city offsite storage inventory and maintenance • Provide post-event analysis and continuously improve event experiences • Maintain detailed event information and timelines • Deliver events with a focus on sustainability and reuse

🎯 Requirements

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate closely with a distributed remote team • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize appropriately, and manage multiple tasks with minimal guidance • Ability to think strategically • Clear and friendly written and verbal communication with strong listening skills • Positive, proactive, creative, innovative, and organized team-player approach • Ability to identify and maximize revenue opportunities • Strong attention to detail • Flexibility and willingness to learn in a startup environment • Ability to identify and mitigate potential issues and respond calmly to problems • 4–6 years of events management/coordinator experience for sports events required • Facilities operations experience • Supervisory experience with game day staff, volunteers, and/or other roles • Bachelor’s Degree preferred • Preferred knowledge, understanding, and experience of volleyball • Ability to operate a computer and use a keyboard, mouse, and video conferencing tools • Ability to work nights and weekends and be available for all home venue competitions between January and April • Ability to clearly communicate via video, phone, and written channels • Occasional travel may be required for site visits and events
