📋 Description

• Lead data governance workstreams end-to-end, including data cataloging, data quality, metadata management, lineage, and access control frameworks • Translate client business needs into governance solutions and roadmaps with minimal oversight • Create, socialize, and implement data governance policies, procedures, and frameworks while ensuring compliance • Introduce emerging technologies and methodologies for data governance tasks and capabilities • Develop and execute data governance and/or AI governance strategies improving discoverability, quality, accessibility, usability, AI use-case evaluation, and AI readiness • Lead migrations of complex data architectures from on-premises to cloud environments • Establish and enforce data governance practices that improve data security and compliance • Introduce containerization to enhance scalability and deployment efficiency • Mentor junior engineers, review code, and guide small implementation teams • Create technical blueprints and recommend tools, frameworks, and design patterns aligned with client needs • Lead small engagements and workstreams, contribute to pre-sales pursuits, and serve as a trusted client presence

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field • 4+ years of experience in data governance, including 2+ years in a client-facing role • Advanced data governance capabilities as defined by DAMA-DMBOK • Advanced knowledge of Databricks and Spark (required) • Strong client-facing communication skills and ability to influence technical and executive stakeholders • Experience with Google Workspace, MacOS, Slack, and Atlassian • Certification in governance toolsets such as Unity Catalog, Atlan, or Anomalo is preferred
