⢠Formulate, implement, and lead strategies and tactics for fundraising and development activities ⢠Lead planning and execution of Walk to End Lupus Now events through recruitment, corporate sponsorship, fundraising, and committee and volunteer leadership development ⢠Lead planning and execution of Lupus & You Empowerment Conferences, including securing sponsorships, venues, speakers, physician partnerships, communications, and recruitment ⢠Build relationships with key volunteers, participants, corporate partners, sponsors, and community leaders ⢠Achieve assigned revenue goals by developing and maintaining stakeholder, constituent, sponsor, donor, committee, corporate, and community partner relationships ⢠Serve as lead Development staff member driving revenue generation and growth opportunities for fundraising and education events ⢠Establish LFA presence within the assigned geographic territory and develop relationships for future support and engagement ⢠Maintain detailed, timely, and accurate databases of engagement information and sponsorship, grant, and gift acknowledgements ⢠Perform other duties as assigned to attain market financial goals ⢠Collaborate with Care Support & Services, Research, Marketing & Communications, Advocacy & Government Relations, and Development & Fundraising departments ⢠Report to the Southeast Division Vice President
⢠7-10 years of experience in special event fundraising and relationship development ⢠Strong volunteer recruitment and management experience ⢠Broad-based fundraising knowledge, nonprofit management experience, strategic planning, financial management, and market development skills ⢠Superior relationship development skills ⢠Ability to effectively multitask, establish priorities, and work in a fast-paced environment ⢠Efficient time management and ability to meet deadlines under pressure ⢠Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills ⢠Competency handling diversified assignments ⢠Ability to interface with all levels of staff and volunteers ⢠Capability to leverage relationships and negotiate agreements ⢠Excellent written, oral, and communication skills ⢠Active listening, observation, analytical, problem recognition, and solving skills ⢠Ability to work and make judgments independently and take initiative ⢠Well-disciplined and self-starter ⢠Volunteer Health Agency background desirable ⢠Bachelor's degree ⢠Ability to work evenings and weekends as required ⢠Dedicated home office or workspace with reliable internet connectivity ⢠Ability to interact with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds ⢠Background checks are required ⢠LFA participates in E-Verify
