📋 Description

• Safely operate the Aerosonde unmanned aircraft system • Maintain diligent lookout and listening doctrine using available sensors, radios, and ground control station equipment • Follow air traffic control clearances • Maintain safe and positive control of the air vehicle during all phases of flight • Take appropriate actions during emergencies • Operate sensors onboard the aircraft • Assist the Mission Commander and Mission Coordinator with flight mission planning and briefings as directed • Compute takeoff and landing data via standard operating procedures • Use checklists and other standardized manuals • Safely operate the sensor payload • Analyze and report sensor data pertinent to mission success and flight safety • Work effectively with a small team with minimal guidance and direction • Participate in daily flying and maintenance schedules and all facets of the operation to support mission requirements • Work directly for the assigned Site Lead while deployed • Operate in austere deployed locations with minimum comfort access

🎯 Requirements

• Prior experience with small and larger than hand-launched Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) • Capable of controlling the unmanned aircraft semi-autonomously (preprogrammed) via the GCS • Capable of controlling the unmanned aircraft manually via line-of-sight • Basic computer skills • High school diploma • Military trained UAS Operator • FAA A&P license and private or commercial pilot • Valid FAA Class 2 medical certificate (or able to meet standards) • Must meet minimum military health standards for worldwide deployment and unmanned aircraft flight qualifications • Must be a US Citizen • Must hold an active Secret Security Clearance
