📋 Description

• Deliver against business intelligence objectives by creating information delivery and data analytics solutions • Independently analyze, design and develop business intelligence and analytics solutions • Create reports, dashboards and other business intelligence components • Develop new data assets or information exchanges supporting decision-support applications and analytics solutions • Identify levels of effort and task dependencies with other staff • Provide technical guidance on database tables, objects, assets and cubes using dimensional modeling and normal-form best practices • Lead creation of data marts as needed • Train and mentor business intelligence, analytics and programming staff on technologies, design approaches, standards and best practices • Collaborate with developers to improve scalability, performance and maintainability • Research and evaluate business intelligence, analytics and data visualization technologies • Determine appropriate technologies considering future direction, risk, consistency and return on investment • Create architecture and design documents for new development efforts • Review incoming projects to determine whether existing technologies and capabilities support requirements • Design, create and maintain metadata layers representing physical data structures • Support analysis, design and development of reports, dashboards and data sources through consultation, coaching, mentoring or independent execution • Communicate with internal and external customers to facilitate analysis and troubleshoot production issues

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in business intelligence working with business or systems analysis and design concepts • A bachelor’s degree in business intelligence, management information systems, mathematics, statistics, analytics, computer and information sciences or similar is required, or an additional three or more years of direct experience in business intelligence, data analytics or statistics in lieu of a bachelor’s degree • Ability to write basic queries using standard query languages • Familiarity with business analysis principles and project management methodologies • Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies while considering business needs and direction • Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools/environments • Working knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts • Knowledge of dimensional and relational data modeling and warehousing strategies • Demonstrable proficiency in overseeing project scope definition • Experience managing small to midsize projects to completion • Must comply with security responsibilities, controls, legal, regulatory, contractual requirements and internal policies and procedures
