📋 Description

• Develop and own a multi-year enterprise data and analytics strategy • Lead current-state assessment and define target-state architecture across clinical, claims, and operational data domains • Drive rationalization and modernization of legacy data infrastructure • Oversee data ingestion, ETL/ELT pipelines, data lake and warehouse platforms, and Master Data Management • Establish data quality frameworks covering profiling, monitoring, and lineage tracking • Chair the enterprise Data Governance program, including policies, stewardship roles, and data catalog • Ensure HIPAA, CUI, NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, and applicable regulatory compliance across data environments • Lead enterprise BI, self-service reporting, operational dashboards, and advanced analytical models • Partner with clinical, operations, and finance stakeholders to translate business questions into data products • Advise the AI/ML program by ensuring data readiness, data contracts, and governance frameworks support responsible AI adoption • Lead, develop, and retain data engineering, analytics, and governance professionals • Assess talent, build development plans, address gaps through coaching and targeted hiring • Define team structures, roles, and career paths • Manage a $3M–$5M annual budget with forecasting and variance reporting • Oversee vendor and partner relationships for data platforms, analytics tools, and managed services • Build and present investment business cases to the CIO and executive leadership • Perform additional duties aligned with the role's intent

🎯 Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive experience in data, analytics, or data engineering • At least 5 years in a senior leadership role owning a data and analytics organization • Demonstrated track record leading a data or analytics transformation, including assessing a low-maturity environment and executing a modernization roadmap • Deep expertise across the modern data stack, including Snowflake, Databricks, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, ETL/ELT tooling, Tableau, Power BI, and Looker • Experience building or leading enterprise data governance programs, including policies, data stewardship models, and data quality operations • Strong financial management skills, including budget ownership, vendor negotiation, and investment prioritization • Exceptional executive communication skills • Experience managing large multifunctional teams of 30+ professionals through organizational change • Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred • Familiarity with HIPAA, HL7/FHIR, ICD coding, and claims data structures • Experience handling federal data requirements highly desired, including familiarity with CUI handling per NIST SP 800-171 and/or CMMC compliance environments • Required bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Science or Management Information Systems • Compliance with security responsibilities, controls, legal, regulatory, contractual, and internal policy requirements
