Mason Private Locating is a specialist provider of private underground utility locating and subsurface investigation services. The company performs ground penetrating radar (GPR), concrete scanning, utility mapping, sub-surface utility engineering (SUE), robotic sewer camera inspections, vacuum excavation and cross-bore mitigation to identify and document public, private and unknown underground utilities. Mason serves contractors, engineers, environmental consultants and facility owners with on-site locating, detailed deliverables, and risk-mitigation services to prevent utility damage, safety incidents and project delays.

📋 Description

• Locate and accurately mark underground fiber optic utilities • Read and interpret utility maps, plans, and construction prints • Operate locating equipment safely and efficiently • Complete required documentation and daily reports • Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and teammates • Follow company safety procedures and industry standards • Maintain company equipment and vehicle • Support major fiber optic projects throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area • Perform additional duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 1+ years utility locating experience required • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record • High school diploma or GED • Ability to pass a physical examination and pre-employment drug screening • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions • Ability to walk uneven terrain including dirt, gravel, grass, and roadways • Willingness to travel overnight as needed • Ability to work overtime and weekends • Participation in an on-call rotation • Previous construction experience preferred • Strong attention to detail • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Ability to read and interpret utility maps, plans, and construction prints • Ability to operate locating equipment safely and efficiently
