📋 Description

• Provide detailed technical review and written comment on flood studies, master planning documents, engineering plans, specifications, and reports for development projects in regulatory floodplains • Ensure proposed projects comply with federal, state, and local codes, laws, regulations, specifications, standards, procedures, and National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) requirements • Provide technical guidance and support for FEMA Letter of Map Change (LOMC) applications and amendments • Serve as a technical liaison with applicants, project managers, consultants, contractors, and community staff • Identify and resolve technical, regulatory, and political issues during the review process • Manage workload, monitor project schedules, and track performance • Review technical writing, mapping attachments, tables, and figures for accuracy and client-ready quality

🎯 Requirements

• 4-year degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required • 0-2 years' experience in hydrologic & hydraulic modeling and mapping, floodplain management, or watershed modeling • EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire required • Knowledge of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) preferred • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to be a role model among peers and people- and client-focused • Interest in growth toward a management position
