• Provide comprehensive project management and strategic direction for the Rural Opioid Technical Assistance Center project and other assigned rural health initiatives • Conduct direct behavioral health and substance use disorder technical assistance to rural organizations • Serve as the lead subject matter expert for Behavioral Health and SUD/OUD • Oversee development of trainings and resources with rural and behavioral health expertise • Lead alignment meetings with the lead grant organization and regional stakeholders • Co-lead the program advisory committee • Oversee progress reports, data collection, and documentation for funding agreements and federal/state grants • Assist with or lead grant proposal development • Design and manage interprofessional, community-based internship and clerkship programs • Directly manage, mentor, and evaluate program staff, coordinators, and interns • Delegate tasks and allocate resources across programs and staff • Develop recruitment plans and recruit participants from rural healthcare and community mental health organizations • Conduct outreach and engagement across the NERHA network • Engage executive leadership in rural organizations regarding the ROTA program and NERHA • Develop program-specific events and integrate specialized content into the annual NERHA Rural Health Conference • Develop and implement outreach and communications strategies, including promotion, marketing, newsletters, training resources, and digital campaigns • Measure project performance, monitor deliverables, identify improvements, and complete reports for the lead grant organization • Perform other duties assigned by the Executive Director or Chief Operating Officer
• Master’s degree in Clinical Behavioral Health, Public Health, or a related field required • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in grant-funded program management • At least 2 years directly supervising and mentoring clinical and program staff • Extensive experience integrating clinical and community-based wraparound services addressing social determinants of health in rural communities • Excellent attention to detail • Excellent written and oral communications skills • Strong budget development, expense tracking, and financial monitoring skills • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project • Proficiency with cloud-based document management systems such as Google Suite and OneDrive • Proficiency with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices • Experience with contract and/or grants management and administration • Ability to work effectively, efficiently, and collaboratively in a fully remote or virtual environment • Clinical Behavioral Health Licensure, such as Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker, highly desirable • Familiarity with or commitment to rural communities • Knowledge of or experience with rural healthcare policy and networks • Experience with county, municipal, or local community partners such as housing, transportation, law enforcement, and food providers • Must live in New England and have experience in New England • Ability to travel regularly across the six New England states, with occasional national travel • Monday–Friday availability during standard business hours, with flexibility for evening or weekend events as required • Legal authorization to work in the country in which the position is posted
