📋 Description

• Provide corporate-level accounting support for a multi-state company • Support project cost accounting, financial statement preparation, trial balance reconciliations, audits, and other accounting activities • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting and financial records, systems, and activities for efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity • Identify deficient controls, duplicated effort, excess costs, regulatory or legal non-compliance, fraud, and mismanagement practices • Ensure ASC 842 compliance by tracking lease schedules, preparing journal entries, and collaborating with operations and legal • Report to management on asset utilization and audit results • Recommend improvements to financial activities • Review accounts, investigate discrepancies, and perform reconciliations • Analyze operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project revenues or expenses • Provide accounting support for large projects • Prepare documentation and support internal and external audits • Perform corporate-function closing activities, including account and transaction analysis, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations under GAAP • Create standard work processes and improve close-process accuracy and timeliness • Ensure compliance with internal policies, controls, accounting procedures, data integrity, asset protection, segregation of duties, budgeting, financial reporting, information systems, and corporate policies • Perform other duties as necessary and requested

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a senior accounting function • Lease accounting experience following ASC 842 • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions purchase accounting calculations • ERP knowledge and experience required; MS Dynamics 365 highly preferred • Extensive general ledger experience and knowledge of month-end/year-end close processes • Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) • High-level and complex problem-solving, critical thinking, deductive and mathematical reasoning skills • Ability to interpret data and resolve varying situations • Ability to be self-motivated, self-directed, organized, and prioritize work within deadlines • Advanced knowledge of Excel and other MS Office products • Ability to work in a high-functioning team environment • Highest levels of honesty, integrity, and professionalism • Must be able to perform the physical requirements, including extended sitting, occasional walking, lifting up to ten pounds, and exposure to outdoor/warehouse environments as applicable
