📋 Description

• Manage and coordinate the distribution of settlement funds to clients and other involved parties • Review settlement agreements and confirm accurate disbursement amounts based on client agreements • Maintain detailed records of all disbursements and ensure they are properly documented in the firm’s system • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, financial, and ethical standards during the disbursement process • Assist with creating and managing disbursement journals and other related records • Troubleshoot issues related to the distribution of settlement funds

🎯 Requirements

• Prior experience in a legal or settlement coordination role, particularly within a law firm • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills • Familiarity with settlement processes, client disbursements, and legal compliance • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex processes to clients • Proficiency in using legal software to manage disbursements and records • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
