📋 Description

• Support project commissioning from mechanical completion through commercial operation • Support system energization, startup, testing, and operational readiness verification • Troubleshoot DAS commissioning and SCADA activities • Ensure commissioning documentation and test reports are complete and accurate • Support resolution of commissioning deficiencies and operational issues • Perform daily remote monitoring throughout the workmanship warranty period • Monitor system performance, alarms, communications status, DAS/SCADA functionality, production trends, and operational abnormalities • Investigate, troubleshoot, and coordinate resolution of operational issues • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, O&M personnel, utilities, and internal teams • Escalate significant deficiencies, downtime events, recurring alarms, and performance concerns • Maintain operational logs, monitoring records, issue tracking systems, and corrective action documentation • Identify recurring operational trends and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives • Administer Melink Solar workmanship warranty obligations • Investigate warranty claims and coordinate corrective actions • Track recurring deficiencies and support root cause analysis • Coordinate resources to resolve warranty issues efficiently • Maintain warranty claims, corrective action, and project history records • Support customer communication and relationships throughout the warranty period • Provide Customer Production Reports at 3-, 6-, and 12-month checkpoints for current and future C&I customers • Maintain commissioning, monitoring, warranty, and customer reporting documentation • Support standardized procedures for commissioning, turnover, monitoring, warranty, and customer reporting • Report on commissioning status, monitoring trends, warranty exposure, deficiencies, customer production, and operational performance • Support warranty and post-construction cost tracking • Maintain organized project documentation and historical project records

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in commercial or utility-scale solar construction, commissioning, QA/QC, O&M, or EPC project management • Strong understanding of solar PV systems, electrical systems, SCADA/DAS communications, remote monitoring platforms, and commissioning processes • Experience commissioning Chint Power Systems, SolarEdge, and SMA inverters • Experience with AlsoEnergy, SolarEdge, PowerFactors, or other monitoring platforms • Experience with project turnover documentation, monitoring systems, production reporting, and customer closeout processes • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, communications, monitoring, and operational issues in the field and remotely • Familiarity with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, and utility interconnection processes • Proficiency with advanced electrical testing equipment, including megohmmeters, IV Curve Tracers, thermal cameras, and oscilloscopes • Familiarity with ANSI/NETA/MTS testing procedures • Experience with commissioning and maintenance of battery storage systems (BESS) and battery management systems (BMS) • Experience conducting QA/QC inspections and audits in solar or electrical construction environments • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and quality management systems • Ability to interpret and enforce quality specifications and standards • Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to create detailed reports • Strong technical problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail regarding quality and compliance • Ability to communicate quality issues effectively and diplomatically • Ability to make sound decisions and solve complex problems under pressure • Strong customer service skills • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment • High School Diploma/GED (Required) • Valid driver's license and clean driving record (Required) • OSHA 30 Certification (Required) • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy) (preferred) • State-issued Journeyman Electrician License (Preferred) • NABCEP PV Installation Professional or O&M/Quality Specialist Certification (Preferred) • FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot License (Preferred) • Ability to work outdoors in adverse and extreme weather conditions • Ability to traverse active construction sites • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work comfortably at heights • Ability to perform prolonged walking, standing, bending, and reaching • Willingness and ability to travel 50–75% to project sites across the Midwest and occasionally other U.S. regions • United States work authorization/legal authorization to work in the United States
