📋 Description

• Plan and administer Chester County Compeer’s community-based, all-volunteer support service connecting adults in mental health recovery with trained volunteer friends. • Deliver services promoting stability, recovery, and community integration for adults with mental health challenges. • Recruit, match, retain, interview, screen, train, and support volunteers and people in recovery. • Educate adults in recovery and mental health professionals about Compeer and obtain referrals. • Provide interim support to pending referrals through newsletters, events, phone calls, and emails. • Maintain ongoing contact with approximately 85 program participants using email, phone calls, newsletters, personal contact, and social networking. • Conduct community outreach to increase visibility, generate referrals, and develop partnerships. • Assist with program budget development and management. • Plan and implement participant services and supervise record-keeping, including logs, incident reports, progress notes, and participant charts. • Manage intake and referral processes and review/approve participant enrollment and closure. • Conduct supervisory meetings with the Coordinator – Compeer. • Lead Advisory Board members and organize quarterly county-wide events, fundraising activities, meetings, and special programs. • Develop relationships with funders and governing authorities, pursue private funding, write grants, and maintain financial reporting. • Conduct public relations, marketing, public speaking, and outreach throughout Chester County. • Contribute to MHP strategies and projects, recommend best practices, develop innovative services, and solve complex service-delivery problems. • Manage projects with moderate resource requirements and monitor project costs. • Oversee service delivery and data quality, interface with Chester County MH/IDD officials, and provide performance data and reports. • Ensure compliance with accreditation, certification, and regulatory standards. • Review, develop, and implement services for unmet needs; maintain forms, manuals, guides, policies, and procedures. • Support other MHP services, notify leadership of problems, and provide data for city, state, and federal funding reports. • Report potential violations of laws, regulations, policies, or procedures and attend unemployment hearings when required. • Model MHP’s recovery-oriented principles and perform other related work as assigned.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required • 3–5 years of mental health experience required • Self-starter with ability to self-motivate • Patience, creativity, flexibility, compassion, tactfulness, and sensitivity • Ability to work cooperatively with a wide variety of individuals • Problem-solving abilities • Organized and reliable, with timely responsiveness to needs • Teamwork skills • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills • Comfortable with public speaking and leading small meetings • Proficient computer literacy in Microsoft Office, email, and the internet • Must reside in the Chester County Area
