📋 Description

• Build Mercury’s Infrastructure Platform to support the growing needs of the Engineering Organization • Build an AI-friendly platform usable by both engineers and AI agents • Deliver key infrastructure projects • Break down complex initiatives • Define infrastructure strategy through detailed RFCs and technical specifications • Maintain networking and container orchestration systems • Work with product teams to enable AWS needs • Build secure-by-default, observable-by-default, maintainable infrastructure foundations • Debug Linux problems and help product engineers understand production service behavior • Ship infrastructure changes frequently and improve existing systems

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with AWS • Keen interest in cloud native open source technologies and comfort contributing code upstream • Strong knowledge of low-level operating system foundations, including Linux, file systems, and containers • At least 2 years of experience creating detailed technical documentation, RFCs, and technical specifications • Experience operating in regulated environments such as HITRUST or SOC2 • 2+ years of experience working in massive Terraform environments • 2+ years of experience writing code • Willingness to learn and dive into hard problems
