• Deliver comprehensive training and education programs on company products, procedures, and best practices • Deliver approved content during didactic training • Provide case support to trained domestic and international customers • Conduct assessment testing and develop training curricula and programs • Define protocols and assist with field assessment of new product market research trials • Develop and implement ongoing home-study training courses • Conduct staff training and provide clinical feedback to resolve customer issues • Serve as the company's clinical expert • Standardize and digitalize sales training materials • Work with Product Managers to develop sales training and in-servicing videos • Answer clinical questions from doctors, technicians, and sales representatives • Support sales and marketing efforts by in-servicing key customers on Merit products • Support and train clinicians in the field and troubleshoot product-related issues • Assess clinical competency of new employees and provide feedback and recommendations • Write technical papers for emerging markets, segments, and niches • Coordinate and execute symposiums and clinical education events • Develop value-added CEU credits • Perform other required duties and tasks
• Education and/or business experience equivalent to a related Bachelor's Degree • Minimum of six years of hands-on medical experience • Experience within Endoscopy and/or General Surgery divisions preferred • Excellent communication skills • Ability to analyze feedback in a training environment and develop strategies to improve knowledge, skills, and abilities • Thorough understanding of training and development techniques • Ability to implement a corporate sales training program • Good analytical skills and ability to understand complex issues • Excellent organizational skills and ability to coordinate large programs • Demonstrated computer skills, preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database, and other applicable software programs • Education and clinical experience equivalent to a Registered Nurse, Surgery Technician, or Radiology Technician preferred • Medical product sales and sales training experience preferred • Product training • Sales training manual writing and preparation • Skill assessment testing • Training curriculum/program development • Product troubleshooting • Interpersonal communication skills • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; local practice may apply
