• Provide high-quality training and technical assistance to improve the capacity of Tribal early childhood programs • Support Regional Technical Assistance Specialists and Training and Resource Development teams • Develop and deliver training and technical assistance to Tribal CCDF grantees • Develop technical assistance resources on CCDF topics, including subsidy administration, health and safety, quality improvement, supply building, construction and renovation, fiscal management, internal controls, emergency preparedness, and disaster relief and recovery • Develop menus of technical assistance offerings • Support OCC priorities and special projects by developing issue briefs, handouts, brochures, presentation kits, and webinars • Develop and execute national and cross-regional trainings, webinars, peer learning groups, and communities of practice • Maintain communication with TA Specialists, Deputy Project Director, and Project Director to plan effective training events • Coordinate with Training, TA, and project teams to design, develop, and deliver TA activities • Review early childhood development resources and provide Tribal grantees with quarterly updated, hyperlinked resource lists • Develop expertise in CCDF implementation requirements and create content-specific resources and presentations • Develop a draft national Tribal TA strategy for OCC approval • Respond to information requests from Tribal Lead Agencies, OCC staff, TA providers, and other interested parties • Develop and deliver content for regional Plan Preprint Trainings as directed • Assist TA Specialists with topical technical assistance • Prioritize, develop, and adapt written TA materials for Tribal CCDF administrators • Track and report technical assistance in the Technical Assistance Tracker • Participate in and sometimes facilitate full-team and weekly SME & TA Team meetings
• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in early childhood services working with children and families from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds • 5+ years of experience offering training and technical assistance within early care and education • Strong consultation, presentation, and facilitation skills • Knowledge of CCDF regulations and applicable federal, state, Tribal, and local laws, rules, and regulations • Current knowledge of child development practices and research-based early childhood quality improvement methods and approaches • Ability to develop training and technical assistance content • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills • Proficiency in MS Office Applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams • Experience with E-learning, webinar, and project management tools, including Smartsheet • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment • Ability to apply detailed knowledge of organizational procedures and make independent decisions • Ability to handle multiple priorities and limited overtime as necessary • Experience within Federally recognized Tribes and Native communities preferred • Native Language Revitalization and/or dual language program knowledge preferred • Understanding of trauma-informed care and children's social-emotional needs preferred • Experience in a leadership position within a CCDF/Head Start Program or similar position preferred • Experience providing training at State, Regional, or National Conferences/Meetings preferred • Experience with state, Tribal, and/or national early care and education policies, regulations, and systems preferred • Experience with CCDF and/or other Tribal or state early learning program implementation preferred • Experience with child care leadership, coordination, management systems, financial management, program integrity, health and safety standards, professional development strategies, monitoring, continuous quality improvement, provider licensing/approval, subsidy eligibility, consumer education, child curriculum and assessment preferred • Experience building partnerships and leading collaborative committees, workgroups, or task forces preferred • Willingness to undertake extensive travel within the home state and assigned clusters of states
