📋 Description

• Own end-to-end procurement and account management for 3P customers across multiple facilities • Source new ingredients, forecast demand, and negotiate costs • Represent assigned categories to major accounts and ensure a superior client experience • Lead category sourcing, identify new suppliers, and develop product innovations • Manage short-term purchasing and long-term sustainable business strategies • Negotiate supplier contracts, pricing, and terms with the 1st Party Misfits Merchandising team • Monitor vendor reliability, quality, and compliance, implementing corrective actions • Develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions, process challenges, and quality issues • Manage, coach, and develop a Buyer Analyst responsible for demand planning and purchase orders • Collaborate with Inventory Planning, Merchandising, Operations, and Transportation • Resolve cross-functional conflicts while balancing business needs and customer commitments • Analyze data, identify trends, make recommendations, and create 3–6 month action plans • Document processes, present findings, and improve operational efficiency

🎯 Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in Category Management and/or wholesale procurement / 3P account management • If supporting Produce: produce experience required; overall food experience preferred • Ecommerce and digital experience preferred • Meal Kit experience preferred • Bachelor's Degree and/or relevant experience + 3 years • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills • Strong understanding of financial principles, including forecasting and profitability analysis • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar) • Experience with contract process management • Deep knowledge of technical specifications and features of products in the category • Knowledge of certifications such as USDA Organic, Fair Trade, and applicable food safety regulations • Technical expertise in product quality standards and processes, including shelf life, packaging durability, and food safety • All compliance requirements must be completed on time, including Annual Harassment Prevention Training, EHS/OSHA Training, Workplace Violence Prevention Training, IT Security Training, and Manager Training
