📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and monitor the Quality Improvement Program for Anatomical Pathology, Clinical Laboratory, Point of Care, and Safety Programs • Interpret, design, and implement laboratory quality assurance standards • Oversee and manage compliance standards for twelve cost centers • Create policies and procedures to ensure state and federal compliance • Determine and conduct compliance audits for problem-prone, high-risk, and high-volume procedures • Analyze statistical data and write narrative reports summarizing quality assurance findings • Lead and report monitors at Pathology Services, Clinical Laboratory Services, and hospital quality assurance meetings • Establish and maintain relationships with clinics, providers, and Moffitt locations • Direct implementation of solutions and allocate work to appropriate resources • Motivate resources to deliver quality standards on time • Support faculty and staff through pre-, post-, and analytical testing, training, and inspections • Consult with programs, clinics, agencies, vendors, and consultants regarding laboratory compliance needs • Define investigation scope, safety plans, timelines, and metrics • Analyze data and provide solutions or alternate methods and procedures • Design and implement process changes and risk mitigation strategies across pathology sites • Perform Root Cause Analysis and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis for high-risk and problem-prone areas • Report findings and solutions to QA Department Chairs, Risk Management, Compliance, and regulatory agencies • Direct staff compliance with federal, state, and hospital regulatory guidelines • Advise clients on solutions to needs or problems • Create databases and metrics to track QA monitors • Develop, review, and revise departmental SOPs and processes
