📋 Description

• Deliver live, virtual ACT prep instruction via Zoom to a full cohort of 10–25 students • Teach ACT English, Math, Reading, and Science content and test-taking strategies • Use Studyville's provided ACT guides, curriculum, materials, and sample/practice tests; no independent lesson planning required • Review pretest results to guide instructional emphasis • Adjust pacing and strategy to meet cohort target scores and areas of need • Administer the post-test during the final session • Follow the provided ACT scope and sequence • Track attendance and daily student progress, including practice test scores • Document participation and engagement concerns and communicate them to the ACT Program Coordinator • Foster student confidence, ownership, and academic leadership • Communicate student progress and score trends to students, families, and/or school staff as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Personal ACT composite score of 33 or higher, achieved within the past 12 months, with an official score report available for verification • Comfortable and confident teaching ACT content and test-taking strategy in a live virtual setting • Demonstrated ability to help students meaningfully raise their scores • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and fingerprinting as required by Louisiana state law • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Reliable access to a computer or device with a functioning camera and microphone • Stable high-speed internet connection • Prior experience tutoring, teaching, or coaching students in ACT or other test prep (preferred) • Prior experience teaching in a live virtual/online setting (preferred) • Current teaching certification (preferred) • Deep, current familiarity with ACT content, format, and pacing • Strong instructional and test-taking strategy skills • Reliable, punctual, and professional • Ability to motivate students working toward a specific score goal • Clear communication with students, families, and staff • Comfortable engaging and managing a full class of students in a live virtual format • Quiet, distraction-free space for the full duration of each live session • Comfort and proficiency using the Zoom platform
