📋 Description

• Own and continuously improve Monarch’s company-wide procurement process • Administer the Zip procurement-orchestration system • Lead strategic sourcing and negotiations for material vendors • Use market intelligence, usage data, and business context to improve pricing, terms, commitments, and value • Build a proactive vendor-management program covering contracts, spend, ownership, renewals, utilization, performance, and consolidation opportunities • Partner with Finance, Engineering, and business leaders on SaaS, cloud, data, AI, and technology spend • Drive adoption through policies, self-service resources, and employee education • Use AI and automation to make procurement faster and more proactive • Collaborate with Finance, Engineering, Legal, Security, IT, People, and business leaders • Help Monarch make better purchasing decisions and improve vendor economics

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, or technology-spend management • Personal ownership of material negotiations • Experience owning and improving procurement processes in a high-growth technology company • Hands-on experience administering a procurement-orchestration or comparable workflow platform • Experience configuring intake, conditional logic, approval routing, permissions, and reporting • Experience sourcing and negotiating technology spend, including SaaS, cloud infrastructure, data, AI, or consumption-based vendor models • Experience managing cloud or usage-based technology spend with Finance and Engineering • Strong commercial and analytical judgment • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Proactive, hands-on operating style with ability to manage multiple priorities • Demonstrated AI fluency and regular use of AI in work • Ability to redesign procurement workflows around AI and automation • Familiarity with AWS and Google Cloud cost structures, committed-use agreements, cloud cost allocation, or cloud-cost-management tooling is nice to have • Experience procuring AI models, APIs, financial-data infrastructure, or high-volume usage-based services is nice to have • Experience in fintech, consumer subscription, financial services, or regulated technology is nice to have • Familiarity with security, privacy, legal, and third-party risk-review processes is nice to have
