• Define and execute the enterprise Azure cloud and platform strategy aligned with business growth, clinical operations, and product delivery needs • Set the multi-year vision for cloud architecture, internal developer platforms, and DevOps capabilities • Own Azure landing zones, subscription strategy, network topology, shared platform services, and the end-to-end Azure environment • Establish infrastructure standards for availability, resiliency, scalability, lifecycle, change management, and governance • Lead modernization initiatives including cloud-native adoption, containerization, serverless, and legacy platform refactoring • Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of systems supporting clinical and business workflows • Partner with application, data, product, and analytics teams on infrastructure for data pipelines, AI/ML workloads, and analytics • Administer and optimize the Microsoft 365 E5 tenant and its security and compliance capabilities • Build and evolve an Internal Developer Platform with paved paths, golden templates, and self-service capabilities • Drive Terraform, GitOps, policy-as-code, CI/CD, automated testing, release engineering, and progressive delivery • Treat cloud and developer platforms as internal products with roadmaps, OKRs, adoption metrics, and feedback loops • Influence product architecture toward cloud-native, secure-by-design, and cost-aware patterns • Own enterprise Azure networking architecture and partner with Cybersecurity on zero-trust networking • Ensure cloud and M365 environments meet HIPAA, HITRUST, and internal risk requirements • Own infrastructure security posture, auditability, logging, compliance reporting, risk assessments, and remediation planning • Lead FinOps practices including cost visibility, chargeback, optimization, forecasting, and capacity planning • Lead the DevOps organization and embed DevOps and Site Reliability principles across teams • Manage relationships with Microsoft and other strategic technology vendors • Establish SLAs, SLOs, error budgets, and 24x7 incident response practices • Build observability across metrics, logs, traces, and proactive alerting • Build, coach, and lead Cloud Engineering, DevOps, and Platform teams • Set technical direction, architectural standards, and career paths • Foster cross-functional collaboration with Product, Engineering, Data, Security, and IT Operations leadership
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field • Minimum of ten (10) years in infrastructure, cloud, or platform engineering • Minimum of five (5) years in leadership roles • Advanced, hands-on experience designing and operating large-scale Microsoft Azure environments at enterprise scale • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including identity, security, compliance, and collaboration workloads • Proven experience building and leading DevOps, System Engineering, and/or Platform Engineering organizations in a product/agile operating model • Demonstrated success delivering Internal Developer Platforms, paved paths, and self-service capabilities that improve developer velocity • Advanced experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD, GitOps, containers (AKS), and cloud-native architecture patterns • Experience scaling infrastructure in high-growth, regulated environments such as HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, or equivalent • Advanced FinOps discipline and experience managing strategic cloud and software vendor relationships • Strong communication and credible partnership with Product, Engineering, Security, and executive leadership • Experience supporting healthcare, data-intensive, or analytics-heavy platforms strongly preferred • Advanced degree and relevant Microsoft certifications a plus
