πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Perform all activities regarding marketing and sales of MEC (USA)’s import/export/customs house brokerage services in a designated geographical location. β€’ Generate new business and service existing accounts by target planning, conducting, reviewing and reporting personal sales performance. β€’ Provide input and implement sales and marketing strategies. β€’ Work closely with Operations to ensure proper handling of customers’ freight and documentation. β€’ Promptly respond as directed to customer RFQs and similar proposals made public by recurrent, new, and potential customers. β€’ Work closely with accounting to ensure all account receivables and account payables are properly credited, billed and paid. β€’ Help generate and productively use up-to-date records on tariff/contract rates on available carriers (airlines, ocean, inland/interstate trucking, etc.). β€’ Provide weekly department sales productivity report and service irregularity reports. β€’ Perform other duties as assigned by District Manager.

🎯 Requirements

β€’ B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited college or university. β€’ Minimum of five years' experience in freight forwarding industry in a sales or customer service assignment. β€’ Proven experience in similar transportation industry-related companies. β€’ Excellent sales and customer relation skills. β€’ Ability to Negotiate and develop contracts, especially with senior levels. β€’ Knowledge of terms and jargon that vendors, carriers and customers use in the freight forwarding industry. β€’ Excellent Verbal and written communication skills. β€’ Attention to detail, deadline-oriented, dependable, persistence, time management, independent, documentation skills, scheduling and reporting skills. β€’ Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and vendors.
