• Generate sales to prospective and existing MULTIVAC customers throughout the Western United States and Hawaii • Manage the complete sales process, including prospecting, reporting, quoting, and closing business in accordance with sales goals • Identify sales opportunities through personal sales calls, company-provided leads, and other prospecting methods • Use company marketing tools, demonstration facilities, and sales associates to advance the sales process • Attend material test trials and strengthen relationships with operations teams • Investigate further business opportunities during customer trials • Collaborate with Customer Support Representatives and Forecast and Pricing Analysts on materials forecasting, quoting, order processing, and trials • Maintain CRM according to established procedures • Coordinate with equipment sales and management teams to ensure material performance and promote sales to target accounts • Provide information and documentation for proposals and orders • Manage customer expectations regarding trials and orders • Act as Business Manager for the defined region and/or key accounts • Handle issues from initial trials through receivables collections and quality issues with relevant MULTIVAC departments and partners • Monitor and report competitive activity • Operate within the annual expense budget and meet the individual sales budget • Attend trade shows, sales meetings, industry meetings, and other management-directed activities • Support Regional Sales Associates • Stay current on the industry and effective selling practices
• Bachelor's degree preferred • At least five years’ sales experience • At least one year selling packaging materials • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents • Ability to respond to customer, regulatory agency, and business community inquiries or complaints • Ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume • Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions • Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and handle abstract and concrete variables • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Proficiency in contact management systems • Current valid driver’s license • Ability to obtain a passport for travel as required by the position • Ability to travel approximately 70%, potentially more depending on location • Flexible availability for customer schedules, trade shows, meetings, and travel
