📋 Description

• Lead and manage the Data Engineering & Delivery team • Develop and maintain data infrastructure, data ingestion solutions, ETL pipelines, robust data products, and data delivery solutions • Deliver timely and efficient data products and systems supporting DSPE business needs and project requirements • Measure, report, and improve operational effectiveness • Train and coach team members on technologies, procedures, and best practices • Translate business needs and project requirements into technical specifications and implementation plans • Create maintainable design documents for data system architecture, ETL pipelines, data delivery solutions, and related tools • Contribute to development, testing, deployment, validation, maintenance, and updates of data products and systems • Improve and enforce operating procedures for compliance, quality, and efficiency • Create training materials and contribute to training activities • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to align roadmaps, resolve dependencies, and exchange performance metrics • Represent the Data Engineering & Delivery team in stakeholder meetings • Support Natera's Lab Operations and Genetic Counselor/Lab Director teams with data products and delivery systems

🎯 Requirements

• Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Management Science, Operational Research, or another related field • Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience with a Master's degree • Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience with a Doctorate degree • Minimum 2 years of experience in a highly regulated environment, such as CLIA and/or FDA-compliant settings • Minimum 2 years of management experience leading a Data Engineering, Data Production/Delivery, or Data Analytics team • Demonstrable leadership and team management skills • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical techniques • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or AWS QuickSight • Proficiency building data products, including data aggregation, extraction, transformation, and QC • Proficiency in Git workflow and version control systems such as GitHub and/or GitLab • Working knowledge of genomics and bioinformatics workflows • Good documentation practices and coding style • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Strong interpersonal skills • Strong integrity • Doctorate degree, R, dbt, human genetics, healthcare data, electronic health records (EHR), and clinical terminology are pluses
