📋 Description

• Provide genetic counseling to patients via telephone and/or video • Review patients’ and, when appropriate, reproductive partners’ personal medical/reproductive and family histories • Perform genetic risk assessments and explain identified genetic risks • Offer relevant and appropriate testing options • Discuss testing benefits, risks and limitations • Document counseling sessions • Call out results and provide appropriate follow-up • Answer healthcare provider inquiries • Assist with developing and improving genetic counseling protocols, SOPs, systems and patient education materials • Write or collaborate on abstracts or papers • Support lab genetic counselors, medical science liaisons, marketing, product and other Natera teams • Obtain and maintain genetic counseling licensure in assigned states offering licensure • Represent the company at trade shows and medical conferences; deliver presentations at scientific meetings and promotional events, with less than 10% travel • Work regularly with PHI in paper and electronic form • Complete HIPAA/PHI privacy, general policies and procedures compliance, and security training within the first 30 days of hire • Maintain current status on Natera training requirements • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling or equivalent degree • Board certified by the American Board of Genetic Counseling or the American Board of Medical Genetics • Two or more years of clinical genetic counseling experience • OB/MFM patient experience preferred • Candidates providing genetic counseling in more than one language receive additional consideration • Candidates with genetic counseling licenses in more than one state receive additional consideration • Exceptional oral and written communication skills and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members • Adaptability to a dynamic and fast-paced environment • Familiarity with Google Suite of work products
