• Lead the vision, strategy, and execution for a defined portfolio within NMSI’s fee-for-service district partnership team • Drive revenue growth, portfolio performance, pipeline advancement, proposal development, RFP response, contracting support, and cross-functional collaboration • Build and expand high-value K-12 school district partnerships and state department of education relationships • Develop portfolio vision, strategy, priorities, success metrics, market focus, prospecting approach, and continuous improvement practices • Lead cultivation, solicitation, negotiation, and stewardship for assigned district partners, prospects, and state education agency accounts • Develop proposals and RFP responses, including solution design, narrative strategy, pricing and budget alignment, scope development, compliance requirements, and cross-functional inputs • Own relationship plans, activity tracking, opportunity staging, forecasting inputs, and Salesforce data quality • Brief, prepare, and partner with executives and subject matter experts for high-stakes engagements • Join executives and subject matter experts in external meetings, drive coordinated follow-up, and ensure a polished strategic presence • Establish portfolio priorities, responsibilities, success measures, and decision points • Coordinate work across teams, facilitate alignment, and drive follow-through without direct supervisory authority • Identify portfolio insights, recommend sales-process and partnership improvements, and support consistent relationship-management, proposal-quality, and data-discipline standards • Raise challenges and opportunities proactively and provide clear updates for timely decision-making • Close loops, deliver against portfolio commitments, and reinforce execution and collaboration standards • Report to the Senior Director, District Partnerships • Travel up to 50% for in-person district and state education agency meetings, conferences, convenings, and organizational events
• At least five years of progressive responsibility in K-12 district partnerships, education sales, business development, or a related revenue-generating role • Experience securing and managing significant fee-for-service partnerships with school districts and/or state education agencies • Ability to lead through influence and coordinate cross-functional work without direct supervisory responsibility • Ability to clarify expectations, make sound decisions, and build trust, ownership, feedback, and results • Expertise in developing clear, compelling proposals and RFP responses • Ability to synthesize complex program, financial, and implementation information • Ability to align solutions to district needs and coordinate cross-functional inputs • Clear and precise written and verbal communication skills • Ability to tailor messaging for district leaders, executives, program staff, and external partners • Proficiency in Salesforce and other business development tools • Ability to maintain disciplined pipeline management, forecasting, and data accuracy • Ability to anticipate challenges and opportunities and navigate complex district, state education agency, and market dynamics • Ability to translate portfolio strategy into measurable revenue growth • Adaptability, curiosity, creativity, resilience, and ability to apply feedback • Ability to build strong partnerships and foster an inclusive, collaborative environment • Dedicated, distraction-free home-office workspace with reliable high-speed internet • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and use a computer and standard office equipment • Capability to participate in virtual and occasional in-person meetings • Ability to travel overnight as needed • Must pass county, state, and federal-level criminal background checks
