📋 Description

• Establish and manage a code-first platform with automated infrastructure and platform provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management • Assess or build the existing Azure environment, infrastructure dependencies, and modernization requirements to inform target architecture • Serve as a trusted advisor or key personnel in a client-facing role • Drive and execute architecture design and build decisions for IT infrastructure and platforms in partnership with clients • Design Azure tenant structure, including management groups, subscriptions, landing zones, networking, and resource organization • Define cloud architecture standards, naming conventions, tagging strategies, and architecture decision records • Advise on identity and access management, including Entra ID, RBAC, PIM, Conditional Access, and least-privilege models • Develop secure networking and connectivity patterns between Azure, on-premises systems, federal partners, and external integrations • Define and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code standards, reusable modules, repository structures, and CI/CD workflows • Produce architecture documentation, operational guidance, governance artifacts, and platform runbooks • Support and administer a planned production platform serving multiple systems • Work on a small team helping government clients leverage modern cloud technology

🎯 Requirements

• Proven Azure Cloud expertise, including Azure Landing Zones, Management Groups, and subscription design, in large-scale government or regulated environments • Experience supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure platforms • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Azure Bicep, ARM templates, Terraform, CI/CD automation, and GitOps • Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, and Bash • Experience designing identity and access management solutions using Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, PIM, and Conditional Access • Knowledge of cloud security, governance, and compliance frameworks including HIPAA, NIST, Azure Policy, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and ATO processes • Experience establishing cloud governance standards, resource organization, naming conventions, tagging strategies, policy guardrails, and cost management practices • Proficiency with DevSecOps, automated deployment pipelines, infrastructure monitoring, operational observability, and SIEM integration • Experience developing architecture documentation, ADRs, technical standards, and operational runbooks • Experience collaborating with government stakeholders, infrastructure teams, security teams, and multiple vendors • Experience designing highly available platforms and disaster recovery postures • Experience working in an agile delivery team • Strong technical leadership and communication skills, including coaching and mentoring engineers • Ability and desire to grow Nava’s Azure community of practice • Legal authorization to work in the United States • Ability to meet other requirements for applicable government contracts • Work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship now or in the future • May be subject to a government background check or security clearance
