• Install, repair, and train customers on graphic and textile inkjet equipment sold and supported by Nazdar • Communicate effectively with Nazdar customers at facilities within the continental USA • Provide remote technical support via phone and computer • Work with sales to identify new sales opportunities when equipment is outdated or inefficient • Set up, operate, and demonstrate inkjet printing equipment at occasional trade shows • Travel to printing facilities in a company-provided vehicle • Write detailed service reports documenting completed work, parts used, and equipment recommendations • Provide elevated phone support on digital printing equipment, inks, media, software, and finishing processes • Perform work according to safety, quality, and efficiency procedures • Report weekly activities, field issues, direct report issues, and vendor support issues to the manager • Assist with other duties as directed by the manager
• Located in Texas • High school diploma or GED • Current valid driver’s license, subject to an annual Department of Motor Vehicles check • Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in all aspects of inkjet printing, including wide/super wide, solvent, UV, and aqueous inks, graphic and textile applications, prepress color control, software file output, and color profiling • Hands-on experience with wide-format inkjet printers such as Roland, Mimaki, Mutoh, EFI, or similar equipment • Overall knowledge of art generation, inkjet printing, and finishing • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, product literature, regulatory documents, equipment schematics, and service manuals • Ability to solve practical and complex problems within a limited time frame • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, including Outlook, Excel, and Word • Adobe Suite proficiency, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign • Operational knowledge of one or more RIP software programs: Versaworks, Wasatch, Caldera, EFI Fiery, or Onyx • Networking, Internet, web access, and electronic file-transfer capabilities • High mechanical aptitude and confidence using tools • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with others to solve problems • Understanding of electricity and printing equipment requirements in different environments • Ability to travel by automobile for extended periods • Ability to talk and hear • Close, distance, and peripheral vision • Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds • Inkjet equipment certifications recommended • RIP software and color management certifications recommended • Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer graphics or graphic arts preferred but not required • Knowledge of media/ink profiling and the effect of media on color output beneficial
