📋 Description

• Lead technical discovery and solution design for moderate to complex sales opportunities in Nearmap's Government sales vertical • Serve as technical lead on account teams selling Nearmap's 2D, 3D, and AI content to mid-size local government organizations • Demonstrate how Nearmap content integrates with customer applications and workflows • Develop methods for deriving actionable insights from Nearmap content • Advise prospects and customers on integrating Nearmap content into their systems • Provide pre-sales technical support, including content delivery, technical discovery, and solution design • Partner with Solutions Engineers, Sales, and Customer Success teams on qualified sales opportunities • Liaise with Product, Engineering, and Technology teams by channeling customer feedback, escalating bugs, and shaping features and integrations • Understand government customer constraints, recommend solutions, and identify additional Nearmap products and services • Assess content delivery requirements and recommend offline, custom application, or cloud delivery methods • Develop deployable solutions and workflows for customer environments • Build custom and scenario-based demos tailored to customer technology stacks and use cases • Create technical demonstrations and supporting documentation • Lead onboarding, integration, and best-practice guidance for custom solutions • Represent Nearmap at conferences, speaking events, and webinars • Contribute blogs and other marketing support for the Sales team

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years in a GIS-centric role, preferably with or for local government • 2+ years in a technical sales or sales engineering role (preferred) • Advanced experience using geospatial content and performing analysis in desktop and web-based GIS applications, particularly the ArcGIS suite (required) • Familiarity with public safety E911 CAD systems such as Motorola VESTA or PremierOne (highly desired) • Experience writing or responding to RFPs/RFIs for government contracts (preferred) • Proven ability to build compelling user stories from geospatial data stacks • Confident, charismatic, energetic, inquisitive, empathetic, and ambitious • Excellent communication across all levels of technical fluency • Strong time management and organizational skills • Ability to make a compelling, value-based sales argument • Bachelor's degree in geography, GIS, or a STEM field (minimum) • Willingness to attend on-site customer meetings, conferences, speaking events, and webinars
