📋 Description

• Manage Environmental, Health and Safety across multiple facilities • Collaborate on Health and Safety projects across Operations sites • Review and audit the EHS management system and identify continuous improvement opportunities • Provide guidance on EHS matters to site employees • Reduce EHS risks by recommending adaptations to machinery, processes, and work areas and conducting facility-wide Risk Assessments • Ensure robust site reporting regimes for EHS statistics • Provide management with EHS information and statistics • Investigate accidents and injuries in line with statutory requirements • Maintain incident records to support company liability insurance claims • Investigate and interpret information required by insurance brokers regarding claims • Provide training for new hires and current employees • Maintain company EHS and MHE-related training records • Liaise with and accompany onsite governing body inspections • Lead onsite EHS employee meetings, provide minutes, and drive action plans to close issues • Communicate current EHS legislation and amendments and recommend actions to site management • Develop, implement, and maintain an effective EHS audit program

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in related field • Certified Safety Professional certification is a plus • Minimum 5 years previous EHS experience • Extensive EHS employment experience, ideally gained in a logistics environment • Flexible approach to work, and possess the initiative to manage own priorities and workload • Willing to support activities across 3 shift Operations when required • Able to effectively lead and manage Safety initiatives, and employee meetings • Possess excellent communication and influencing skills • Comfortable communicating at all levels within a large organization • Demonstrable record of driving significant safety culture change throughout an operation • Ability to walk, stand, bend, or lift items weighing up to 15 pounds as needed
