📋 Description

• Lead the Partner Data Ingestion team through the remainder of a multi-vertical platform migration and into steady-state operation • Move ingestion from batch-job schedules to event-based and hourly processing • Own the path off legacy ingestion and onto one platform while keeping revenue flowing and reconciling partner data • Hire, lead, and develop engineers at multiple levels, including full-time staff and contractors • Own revenue accuracy so partner files, pricing rules, and warehouse figures agree with Finance recognition • Drive migration of verticals and partners from legacy ingestion to the modern platform • Build new connectors to partner API portals and retire the old path once the new one is proven • Partner with Business Development, Finance, Product, and vertical engineering leaders to sequence work and resolve discrepancies • Manage sprint planning, project timelines, and delivery commitments • Drive adoption of AI-assisted development with human review for revenue-impacting changes • Guide technical decisions on pipeline design, data modeling, and pricing logic • Enforce code review, testing, documentation, and job operability practices • Identify and escalate delivery risks before they become revenue misses • Maintain ingestion reliability, freshness, completeness, and clear ownership of data issues • Mentor engineers, including staff engineers and contractors • Report to the VP of Engineering

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience • 5+ years as the people manager of an engineering team • Proven success owning production data pipelines or an ingestion platform where correctness is the product, such as revenue, billing, or payments • Experience leading a migration from a legacy system to a new platform while both are still in production • Strong SQL and Python • Working knowledge of Snowflake and AWS • Familiarity with workflow orchestration such as Airflow or Step Functions • Familiarity with a relational database such as Postgres • Experience with pipelines that are idempotent, observable, and safe to rerun • Working knowledge of data-quality practices, including reconciliation, anomaly review, and source discrepancy investigation • Experience partnering with finance, business development, or other non-engineering stakeholders on data used for money decisions • Ability to coach engineers at different levels, including senior and staff engineers, with clear, actionable feedback • Experience balancing delivery dates with technical quality on systems that cannot silently drop or double-count data • Track record of using automation, including AI-assisted development, to raise team throughput • Strong written communication when explaining discrepancies and decisions to people outside engineering • Must be based in the United States
