• Drive product acceptance and growth through targeted education and strategic account management • Execute territory sales strategies through in-person and virtual communications • Identify and address territory-specific opportunities and barriers to product success • Manage promotional resources and budget • Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, clinical staff, key opinion leaders, advocacy groups, community mental health clinics, long-term care facilities, payers and pharmacies • Educate external customers about Neurocrine products and their benefits • Establish communication with managed care, Marketing, Patient Access, Medical Science Liaisons and medical communications teams • Uphold FDA guidelines, pharmaceutical industry best practices, company values and compliance policies • Maintain full field presence Monday-Friday, with flexibility for occasional evening/weekend events • Perform other duties as assigned
• BS/BA degree in science or related field and minimum of 4 years of commercial pharma/biotech or related experience • 3+ years of specialty pharmaceutical or LTC, Psychology, or Neurology sales experience highly desired • Close-door or specialty pharmacy distribution experience strongly preferred • Psychiatry, neurology or antipsychotic experience strongly preferred • Master's degree in science or related field and 2+ years of similar experience as an alternative • Knowledge of best practices in the functional discipline and broader related business concepts • Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory and enforcement environments • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales objectives and launch success in complex environments • Strong computer skills and working knowledge of business systems • Proficiency with Salesforce.com, Oracle, SAP, Veeva, and other sales/business intelligence platforms • Excellent project management, analytical thinking, problem-solving, verbal and written communication skills • Ability to navigate complex accounts across varied care sites • Understanding of specialty fulfillment and payer requirements • Should reside within the geographic area of the assigned territory • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
