📋 Description

• Develop program and annual budgets with the leadership team and update pricing policies for contract work • Ensure financial management systems, policies, procedures, and controls maintain fiscal integrity • Oversee accounting and financial functions, including billing, accounts receivable/payable, payroll, general ledger, grant invoicing, and cash flow • Maintain the Bill Spend & Expense credit card system and train staff on appropriate usage • Maintain financial records, produce cash flow projections, and deliver monthly financial reports to the CEO and Board of Directors • Provide annual audit oversight, including reconciliations, audit fieldwork support, audit reports, and tax returns • Supervise the Senior Operations Coordinator and support office functions • Support Salesforce for client contracts and pipeline management • Maintain corporate filings, contracts, insurance, vendor contracts, and compliance records • Maintain grant management processes and manage grant-funder invoicing and reimbursement receivables • Ensure compliance with funder requirements and local, state, and federal regulations • Oversee benefits administration, payroll processing, personnel policy compliance, recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations • Maintain the employee handbook and employment-law compliance • Implement data retention, document storage, and risk management systems • Lead strategic objectives, revenue growth, and diversification initiatives • Develop financial analyses, dashboards, and reporting tools for the board and senior leadership • Improve financial and operational efficiency through technology and process streamlining • Support financial aspects of grant proposals and attend board meetings

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field • 5+ years of progressive nonprofit financial management experience • Strong knowledge of nonprofit fund accounting, GAAP, and regulatory compliance, including 990s and grant compliance • Experience managing budgets, audits, and multi-funder grant reporting • Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or similar, and Microsoft Excel • Proficiency with HR/payroll systems such as Paylocity, Gusto, or ADP • Demonstrated supervisory and team leadership experience • Passion for Flourish Agenda's mission and commitment to organizational policies and procedures • Excellent communication skills and ability to translate financial information for non-financial stakeholders • Strategic and analytical thinking • Integrity and sound judgment handling confidential information • Strong organizational and project management skills • Adaptability in a mission-driven, resource-conscious environment • Collaborative, solutions-oriented leadership style • Bay Area / West Coast based candidates preferred • CPA, MBA, or equivalent advanced credential preferred • Experience with HR administration and organizational operations preferred • Expert-level experience with QuickBooks Online, Gusto, Bill Spend & Expense, and Bill Payables preferred • Experience with Salesforce, WordPress, Dropbox, and Microsoft 365 preferred • Experience working with a Board of Directors preferred • Position requires occasional early morning, evening, and weekend hours and some travel
