📋 Description

• Perform Section 508 compliance tests on web products and content, including PDFs • Conduct usability testing and quality testing for DHS CISA documents and content • Create and convert existing documents into Section 508 Accessibility-compliant versions • Collaborate with leads, developers, and project managers • Attain DHS accessibility training, including DHS Trusted Tester accreditation • Ensure websites and documents comply with DHS mandates, policies, guidelines, Section 508 laws, and IT regulations • Comply with standard operating procedures and program processes determined by leadership • Maintain DHS-required 508 certifications such as Trusted Tester • Encourage outreach and partnership through a collaborative, team-centric approach

🎯 Requirements

• Ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) • Associate degree plus 6 years of experience, or 10 years of applicable experience • Minimum 1 year's experience testing for 508 accessibility compliance • Proficiency using automated testing technology such as JAWS for Section 508 compliance screen reading • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint • Ability to attain DHS accessibility training, including DHS Trusted Tester accreditation • Ability to maintain DHS-required 508 certifications such as Trusted Tester • Strong initiative to establish relationships proactively, identify opportunities to innovate and improve value, and provide improvement ideas • Ability to understand customers' day-to-day operational needs, identify business-process improvements, and propose solutions • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • DHS Trusted Tester Certification desired
